The founder deliberately chose the name ALKEBULAN — the ancient name of Africa — representing a time when the continent was occupied purely by its native peoples, before colonial division and exploitation.

FOUNDED BY A CHAMPION
MAC-ALKEBULAN was founded by Andre McIntyre — a British-born Muay Thai fighter from Jamaican parentage who rose to prominence from the early 1990s through to 2015 and retired in 2018 after one of the most dominant careers in UK combat sports history.
During his fighting career, Andre:
- Won British titles across four weight divisions
- Captured the prestigious ISKA Intercontinental Cruiserweight Muay Thai Championship
- Became WKA, IMKO and WKMA World Champion
- Ranked No.1 in the United Kingdom continuously from 1998 to 2014
Having experienced the highest levels of professional combat sport, Andre created MAC-ALKEBULAN to bring world-class structure, fairness, and opportunity to African fighters, something the continent has long been denied.
This league is built by a champion who understands the grind, the politics, the dangers, and the discipline of real combat sport.
